Central Coast Secures Nearly $17M for Aerospace & Defense Innovation

We’re excited to announce a major win for the Central Coast! As part of California Jobs First and Governor Newsom’s $80 million Regional Investment Initiative (opens in a new tab), our region was awarded $16.95 million to strengthen the aerospace and defense sector—a transformative step forward for innovation, workforce opportunities, and economic growth across the Central Coast. This investment, led by REACH (opens in a new tab) and the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership (MBEP) (opens in a new tab), puts our region at the forefront of California’s boldest new aerospace initiatives.
